Every moment of this trip is an opportunity to discover the diverse fauna and flora of the Danube Delta. From water lily bushes and swans to acacia forests and water lily canals, each place welcomes you with fascinating natural surprises. Here's the detailed itinerary for our longest 10-hour route.
Points of Interest:
- Tulcea: We depart from Tulcea, the port city and your entrance to the beautiful Delta. We meet at the Deeper Blue pontoon located in the center of riverside promenade. This is where the adventures of tourists in search of river stories begin.
- Canal Mila 36: We start our journey on the Mila 36 Canal, a fairytale place where birds play in the sun's rays and nature weaves stories with every wave.
- Canal Sireasa Sud - Canal Șontea Veche: We sail through the Sireasa Sud and Șontea Veche canals, where wildlife reveals the mystery of the Danube Delta.
- Lac Nebunu - Lac Băclănești - Lac Fortuna: Admire the beauty of the lakes that mirror the sky, places where swans and other waterfowl find shelter.
- Mila 23 Sat: We stop in Mila 23, a picturesque village where time seems to stand still, for a short stop and to savour the authentic atmosphere of delta life.
- Canal Heracleea - Canal Lopatna - Lac Matița - Lac Merhei: A foray through hidden canals, where you'll encounter aquatic plants and rare birds in their natural habitat.
- Letea Village (Forest Visit + Optional Lunch): We enter the Letea Forest, a land of famous wild horses and sand dunes, where you will discover unique flora and taste local delicacies in an exceptional natural setting.
- Canal Bărbosu - Canal cu Nuferi - Canal Cardon: We continue along the enchanting canals, giving you views that will stay in your memory.
- Sulina Town (City Visit): We arrive in Sulina, where you'll explore the town's fascinating history and discover its captivating architecture.
- Sulina Canal - Return to Tulcea: We end the trip with a quiet retreat to Tulcea, enjoying the unique landscapes of the Danube Delta.
